How Can We Help?
Having problems? It happens. Other themes and plugins may not work well with our plugin in ways that we have not anticipated. Fortunately, we have been able to resolve most of the issues and conflicts users have come across. Visit our Compatibility Issues page to see if your issue has already been resolved.
If the plugin still does not seem to function properly, please try the following steps before contacting us.
Make sure that you have taken the steps outlined in our Getting Started Checklist
If your plugin was working and suddenly stops, it’s usually due to an update or a plugin conflict. Remove all other guest author plugins or try changing the slug in settings. A slug can only be used by one post type, including Author. Always update your permalinks.
Disable the free (Simply) Guest Author Name plugin to avoid confusion.
Switch to the 2017 theme and see if the problem persists. If the problem does not occur with the 2017 theme, please include the name of the theme in your support request. If you are using a premium theme, we will send you a link where you can upload a zipped copy of the theme. If you are using a free theme, please provide a link to the theme.
If the problem persists after switching themes, try temporarily disabling any plugins that involve authors or users. If this resolves the issue, re-enable each plugin one by one until the conflict occurs. Please send us the name of the plugin. If it is a premium plugin, we will send you a link where you can upload a zipped copy of the theme. If you are using a free theme, please provide a link to the theme. We may not be able to resolve issues with plugins that have been abandoned.
Please contact us via the support link in your dashboard. We may ask you to disable all of the plugins in your dashboard and you may also wish to provide us with temporary administrator access to your site.
